Trauma, Connection and Innate Wellbeing
Every human being has an innate capacity for well-being and loving connection, regardless of circumstance. How does this square with many people’s experience of relationships as a context where they’ve experienced trauma? Or others' experience of relationships as a context for healing their trauma?

What is it we need to heal from trauma? Or to be able to sustain healthy, loving relationships?
Many of us look outside for solutions, guidance and even for the healing process itself. But what if we already have everything we need?
When we realise that we have an innate source of well-being and healing, we can more easily focus on what we have available to us, rather than what we believe is wrong with us.
If every one of us really does have the capacity for healthy fulfilling relationships, regardless of our past experiences, how do we access it? And how can we change the patterns that may have dogged our relationships until now?
Sorrel and Emma will be exploring this and more.
Sorrel is a trauma-informed, relationship and well-being coach. She works with people who are experiencing mental health problems, as well as those who have hit a road-block in their relationships.
Sorrel practiced as an osteopath for 20 years from 2002. During this time she worked with hundreds of people who had experienced childhood trauma, leading to severe mental & physical health problems later in life.
She started her coach training in 2017 qualifying as a 3 Principles coach and a One of Many™ women's coach, bringing a more female approach to coaching.
During those last six years she realised that there is much to be gained by taking account of our spiritual nature - or what many of us call 'true nature.' This is the source of the creativity & compassion which enables us to heal from the inside-out.
Emma works with coaches, therapists and heart-centred human beings of all kinds to uncover their unique gifts, qualities and purpose (the things that can’t be taught in the training room).
As people make discoveries in this direction they tend to relax into a source of profound impact in their work, gain deeper trust in their own sense of guidance, develop a grounded authority that is all their own and ultimately find themselves making the difference that only they can make.
She works with young people in schools and individually, to uncover their innate resilience, wisdom and well-being. She supports people wanting to realise their purposeful contribution in the light of ecological breakdown, climate change and the other challenges we face.
