Seeing From the Eye of the Storm: Seven secrets to finding peace in difficult times

e-book by Sorrel Pindar | Free to download

In this short and powerful e-book you will discover

  • How our experience is created: All our experience is created actively in our minds, using the same neural networks we use to create dreams when we are asleep; understanding this is the key to your peace of mind.

  • How our minds create stories: The mind is a great story-teller, telling stories designed to keep you safe. But sometimes it gets the wrong end of the stick and tells you things which only serve to make things worse.

  • The mask of your ego: We all create a mask - identity, ego, self - call it what you will, and behind that is who you truly are, the source of your innate resilience & well-being.

  • How your innate resilience is like the Blue Sky, always there behind the clouds: As you connect with your innate well-being (your mental wealth), you will be less afraid of the clouds of your day-to-day experience.

  • The Wave is the Ocean: We are all part of something bigger, just as the wave is part of the ocean, and this "ocean" gives you immense healing power.

Plus bonus chapter: Separate Realities. Understanding that we all inhabit separate, different realities gives us the power to understand each other, to love better and to heal our relationships.

Each chapter concludes with a question for reflection as a journaling prompt.

Meet the author, Sorrel Pindar

I am a trauma-informed, relationship & well-being coach. I work with people who have hit a road-block in their relationships, many of whom also struggle with stress, anxiety and depression.

I have 18 years experience of working with people with mental health problems including PTSD & C-PTSD. As a boarding school survivor, I have a particular interest in people who themselves attended boarding school.

Apart from the childhood trauma of boarding school, my experience includes a bereavement by suicide when I was 20. I am the survivor of three challenging relationships, in which I endured emotional abuse. I'm now in a healthy and very loving relationship with my current partner.

I am certified as a Relational Life Coach with the Relational Life Institute so that I can work with couples as well as one-to-one clients.

As a Certified Advanced CLARITY® Coach & Facilitator, I take a spiritual approach to coaching. I'm also a licensed One of Many™ women's coach, so I can bring a more female approach to coaching.

I have a BSc and an MPhil in Psychology, but in the last seven years I've realised that there is much to be gained by taking account of our spiritual nature - or what many of us call 'true nature.' This is the source of the creativity & compassion which enables us to heal from the inside-out.
