Growing up behind school walls taught you how to survive, rely on yourself and hide your vulnerability. But you don’t need that armour anymore. This short course is a specialised roadmap for ex-boarders to drop the hyper-independence, heal the old isolation and finally feel at home in your life and relationships.
When we are sent away to school at a young age, we learn the art of survival quickly. We learn to hide the grief and homesickness, suppress our needs and build a thick layer of self-reliance. You wore the uniform, followed the rules and did what it took to fit in.
On paper, you’re highly successful, independent and capable. But inside?
You feel a chronic sense of isolation, even in a crowd.
You struggle to let your guard down and let people truly see you.
You’re hyper-independent, because asking for help once felt unsafe.
You’re constantly on edge, waiting for the rug to be pulled from under you.
When you feel even slightly vulnerable you shut down and disappear behind your mask.
This is what Boarding School Survival looks like. It kept you safe then, but it’s keeping you lonely now. You weren’t meant to spend the rest of your life just managing your independence. You were meant for true, unmasked Belonging.
This is a practical, bite-sized short course designed specifically for ex-boarders who are ready to lower their guard and build genuinely connected lives.
No overwhelming hours of lectures or heavy academic theory. This course is streamlined into five high-impact video lessons - each around just 10 minutes long - making it easy to fit into your day, no matter how busy life gets.
You don't need to dedicate hours to healing the boarding school survival mindset. Real change happens in small, daily shifts.
Watch (10 Mins): Short, focused video lessons guiding you through the architecture of the ex-boarder mindset and the keys to dropping the armour.
Reflect & Act: Each video is paired with a specific reflection prompt or practical exercise to help you apply the lesson to your life immediately.
Go at Your Own Pace: Follow the logical, step-by-step framework from start to finish, or revisit specific lessons whenever you need a reset.

I am a trauma-informed, relationship & well-being coach. I work with people who have hit a road-block in their relationships or who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health. As a boarding school survivor, I have a particular interest in people who themselves attended boarding school and most of my clients are ex-boarders and their partners.
I am certified as a Relational Life Coach with the Relational Life Institute so that I can work with couples as well as one-to-one clients.
As a Certified Advanced CLARITY® Coach & Facilitator, I take an insight-based, spiritual approach to coaching. I'm also a licensed One of Many™ women's coach, so I can bring a more female approach to coaching.
I have a BSc and an MPhil in Psychology, and in the last six years I've realised that there is much to be gained by taking account of our spiritual nature - or what many of us call 'true nature.' This is the source of the creativity & compassion which enables us to heal from the inside-out.
